Lake Saimaa Cruise and Visit to Rokansaari Island

Join an unforgettable cruise on Lake Saimaa through the beautiful Puumala archipelago. Traveling by RIB boat is safe and comfortable, allowing you to enjoy the stunning scenery — and for those who wish, also a touch of speed and excitement on the summer waters of Saimaa.

The cruise also includes a visit to the picturesque paradise island of Rokansaari, known for its sandy beaches and nature trails. Rokansaari can only be reached by boat, and the RIB boat provides a fast and safe transfer.

Rokansaari is a Saimaa Geopark destination featuring World War I–era trenches dug into sandy soil, as well as a Stone Age settlement site. At the island’s guest harbour there is a recreational area with a summer café and designated campfire sites. The island is well equipped with a campfire place, dry toilet facilities and waste disposal, and the destination is suitable for families with children.

Sahanlahti Resort (Lietvedentie 830, Puumala) and

Puumala Harbour (Satamatie 2) (from Puumala Harbour departures are always 15 minutes later):

  • Thursdays and Fridays at 18:00

  • Saturdays at 12:00

  • Sundays at 12:00 and 18:00

Please indicate in the additional information whether you will join the cruise from Sahanlahti or from Puumala Harbour.

Approximately 1.5–2 hours

Prices

  • Adults: €59 (maximum 12 passengers)

  • Children (4–16 years): €29

  • Children aged 3 and under: free of charge

The price includes boat transportation, life jackets, wind- and waterproof deck jackets, and in case of poor weather, waterproof flotation suits.

If you plan to stay overnight on Rokansaari (for example in a rental cabin or for camping) and require a return transfer at a different time, please mention this in the additional information. Return transport must always be arranged separately in advance.

General

Further information
The cruise will take place if at least 4 people register for it. If the minimum number of participants is not met, Rib Saimaa will contact you no later than 24 hours before departure to either reschedule for another cruise or issue a full refund.

Cancellation Policy: If a customer needs to cancel their booking due to compelling reasons, they will primarily be offered the opportunity to transfer to another cruise. If this is not possible:
For cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure, the full price of the trip will be refunded.
For cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure, 50% of the trip's price will be refunded.
