You can visit Puumala centre from Nestorinranta, Lintusalo by taxi boat or vice versa. The boat can accommodate 5 passengers, along with 4 bicycles if needed. Please book in advance.
The taxi boat's home port is Nestorinranta, Lintusalo. Depending on the situation, either a sturdy open boat Faster or a cabin boat Finnmaster ("Vilmari") is available.
Along the way, you will see the open waters and straits of Lake Saimaa with its numerous islands and skerries. On calm days, you might catch a glimpse of the curious Saimaa ringed seal poking its head above the surface.
The boat driver holds a commercial boat driver's license.
