Etelä-Kalaton is a unique log cabin wilderness cottage with its own lakeside sauna in Rokansalo area, in Puumala, in complete tranquility, on the shore of a private forest lake. Come here to enjoy the peace of the wilderness and the surrounding nature and forests in a place that, according to our guests, is “one of the most unique places on our planet.” The cabin has a west-facing view toward the sunset. The surroundings are completely quiet and there are no nearby neighbors. The cabin is located in a ridge landscape and is accessed by walking 200 m along boardwalks.

The cabin is excellent for couples and families (max. 4 people) who want to enjoy cottage life in full peace and quiet of nature. We require calm holiday behavior from our guests. In addition, guests must either have prior experience with gas appliances, solar electricity, and fireplaces, or be prepared to learn and follow the provided instructions.

The equipment includes reasonable consumption of electricity, gas and firewood, bed linen and towels, and use of the rowing boat. Drinking water is brought along.

Pets not allowed. Smoking not allowed. No party groups!

A spacious yard with easily accessible pine forest terrain and mature managed woodland. The yard includes a private lean-to shelter. Both the cabin and the lakeside sauna feature terraces. A modern, bio-composting outdoor toilet is available. The yard offers plenty of space to move around, with no nearby neighbors, ensuring complete privacy. The parking area is 200 meters from the cabin, with access via well-maintained boardwalks. A handcart is provided for transporting belongings. The yard is mostly flat, but there is a slope near the cabin at the end of the boardwalk.
